KTLA News: New Fragrances Based on Celebs' DNA
Chris Wolfe reports
LOS ANGELES -- A little spray of Marilyn Monroe?
A Southern California company called "My DNA Fragrance" is using people's DNA to make unique colognes and perfumes.
The offerings include scents made from celebrity genetic codes.
Founder Carlton Enoch says there's no actual human DNA in the bottles. Rather, a person's genetic code simply provides the recipe to be used with a standard list of ingredients.
The celebrity DNA is taken from the stars' hair.
Enoch works with a collector who has samples of famous figures from Abraham Lincoln to Marilyn Monroe and others.
You can also bottle your own genetic code -- for a price -- by swabbing your cheek and sending the sample in.
NOTE: The Antiquity Fragrance Collection is no longer available.
